Prisoner Who Fled Work Release Caught At Atlantic City Casino: Officials

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Pennsylvania prisoner who fled from his work release site two months ago was caught and handcuffed on the floor of an Atlantic City casino Wednesday, authorities said.

Jeremy Ott, 30, walked away from the site in Warrington, PA on Sept. 27, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Three days later, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office issued a warrant for Ott's escape, authorities said.

Then, on Nov. 19, Ott was found on the casino floor of Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City, the U.S. Marshals Service said. Photos shared on social media show Ott being apprehended on the carpet.

Ott, a Doylestown, PA resident, was initially charged in August of 2024, Patch previously reported. Ott had fled from police who were attempting a traffic stop. Ott was driving with a suspended license after a DUI and was driving recklessly, officials said.

He was charged with endangering children, fleeing police, recklessly endangering others, resisting arrest, illegal operation of a vehicle without ignition interlock, driving while suspended and four traffic violations.

Ott was captured after that in Atlantic City and extradited to Pennsylvania.
