Dirt Bike Rider Suspected Of Meth Possession In Gloucester Twp. Neighborhood: Police
Undercover officers were monitoring the neighborhood due to community concerns of reckless ATV and dirt bike use.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man on a dirt bike was found with suspected methamphetamine Sunday in a Gloucester Township neighborhood, police said.
Undercover Gloucester Township officers were monitoring ATV activity at the Breckenridge development due to neighborhood concerns of reckless ATV and dirt bike riding.
A man on a dirt bike — later identified as Matthew G. Perry — was stopped around 4 p.m. Sunday by St. Moritz and Breckenridge drives. Police found he had an outstanding warrant from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office on unrelated charges and took him into custody.

While detained, police say they discovered that Perry was carrying suspected methamphetamine. His dirt bike was also towed for being unregistered and uninsured, police said.
Perry, 35, of Sicklerville, was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was also issued several motor-vehicle summonses and placed in the Camden County Correctional Facility for the outstanding warrant.

Perry didn't have a listed attorney in online court records on Tuesday.
Police Chief Anthony Minosse encouraged residents to report concerns of reckless dirt bike or ATV use.
"Our residents deserve to feel safe and heard in their neighborhoods," Minosse said. "When illegal riding becomes a pattern and disturbs the peace of our communities it is our responsibility to step in and correct it with enforcement."
