PAULSBORO, NJ - Penn Line Road is set to close soon for federally-funded railroad crossing repairs in Paulsboro starting Tuesday, officials said.

Starting at 7 a.m. on Aug. 9 through the same time Aug. 12, Penn Line Road will be closed in both directions between Jefferson Street and Railroad Avenue to remove the current railroad crossing in order to provide safety upgrades including new concrete crossings and asphalt approaches, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.

NJDOT’s contractor, Tracks Unlimited, will reconstruct the crossing and approaches during the closure, DOT said. Access will be maintained for local traffic.
