Crash Causes Hours Long Delay, Miles Long Traffic Jam On I-295
No one was hurt in the crash, according to police.
MOUNT EPHRAIM, NJ — New Jersey State Police said it was looking into the cause of a crash on Interstate 295 southbound in Camden County on Wednesday that caused extensive traffic delays and a significant traffic jam.
The crash happened shortly after 11:15 a.m. when a tractor-trailer traveling in the vicinity of the Interstate 295 southbound/Route 42 split in Mount Ephraim rolled over, police said.
The driver was not hurt, according to police.

However, the crash, investigation and cleanup closed about a mile-long stretch of Interstate 295 for roughly three hours and spurred a traffic jam nearly six miles long at its peak, police and Metro Traffic said.
