Truck Overturns, Causing 'Heavy Delays' Near Walt Whitman Bridge In Camden Co.

There are significant delays Friday afternoon for drivers traveling into New Jersey.

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ — A tractor-trailer overturned Friday on Interstate 76 in Camden County, creating heavy delays near the Walt Whitman Bridge, officials said.

The crash was on I-76 West, in the area east of Exit 2 to Interstate 676 in Gloucester City, according to 511NJ.

Four of the six westbound lanes are closed as of 2:30 p.m. Friday, 511NJ says.

Eastbound lanes that were previously closed have since reopened.

The area gets especially busy on Friday summer afternoons because of drivers heading to the Jersey Shore.
