SUV Crashes, Runs Off I-295 In Camden Co.: Police

LAWNSIDE, NJ — An SUV ran off Interstate 295 and down an embankment Wednesday morning, temporarily closing the highway and injuring the driver, authorities told Patch.

A Hyundai SUV was traveling up I-295 North in Lawnside when the driver lost directional control, ran off the interstate to the right, struck the guardrail and ran down an embankment, said State Police Tpr. Christopher Postorino.

The driver was brought to the hospital with minor injuries, Postorino said.

I-295 North was temporarily closed. The highway reopened shortly before 10 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
