Haddonfield Has NJ's Best Public High School For Athletes, Per New Rankings

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Haddonfield Memorial is New Jersey's best public high school for sports, according to a recent list.

Niche, which ranks schools yearly on academics and other factors, recently released its list ranking New Jersey's high schools based on which are the best for athletics. The 2026 rankings cover 531 high schools in the state, including private institutions.

Haddonfield Memorial High School placed seventh overall and was the highest-ranked public school.

Niche considered several factors, including the number of sports offered, the number of students participating in sports, and the school's enrollment in grades 9 through 12. Reviews on Niche posted by parents and students account for about 50 percent of each rating, while state championships encompass 10 percent. You can read more about the methodology here.

Haddonfield Memorial High School offers 23 sports, according to Niche.

Niche also ranked Haddonfield Public Schools as New Jersey's best school district for athletes.
