Haddon Township and Haddonfield are getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Both Haddonfield and Haddon Township will have an array of events to mark the most wonderful time of the year.

Candlelight Shopping

Fridays starting at 6 p.m. from Nov. 29 through Dec. 19 in Downtown Haddonfield

Downtown Haddonfield will become a winter wonderland with decorations, carolers and musicians. Local businesses will also extend their shopping hours until 8 p.m. or later. Parking is free downtown from Thanksgiving until New Year's Eve.

Here's what else is happening during those festivities:

  • Tree Lighting: Candlelight Shopping kicks off with the annual Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. Nov. 28. Then, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will lead a parade to Kings Court, where they'll pose for pictures in the Gazebo.
  • Mrs. Claus Visits Downtown Haddonfield: Mrs. Claus will return to visit downtown merchants on Dec. 12 and 19.
  • Yuletide at the Museum: a weekly colonial-era holiday event taking place Dec. 5, 12 and 19 at the Indian King Tavern Museum.
  • E-Carriage Rides: New this year, a seasonally decorated electric vehicle will take people on carriage rides on Dec. 12 and 19. The vehicle fits four comfortably and picks up in front of 202 King Hwy E.

Shop Small, Brunch Big

Nov. 29-30 in Downtown Haddonfield

Downtown merchants will open early for Small Business Weekend as diners gather for brunch and breakfast. More info.

Last Minute Magic

Dec. 20-24 in Downtown Haddonfield

Local businesses will have special hours in the final days ahead of Christmas, with holiday decorations illuminating Downtown Haddonfield. More info.

Haddon Township

Holiday on Haddon, Parade of Lights

Dec. 5 at 7-9 p.m. on Haddon Avenue

Santa Claus joins Haddon Township's annual holiday celebration. It will begin with the Parade of Lights, with decorated firetrucks, floats and bands traveling down Haddon Avenue to the Municipal Building.

Help Santa light the tree, enjoy refreshments, and take photos at the Westmont Fire Company No. 1. The township will also collect unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items for the Annual Holiday Toy Drive that evening.

There is no rain date for the event. More info.

Winterfest Market

Dec. 6, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Haddon Square (51 Haddon Ave.)

A one-of-a-kind outdoor market with unique gifts from local artisans. Enjoy treats and eats from local vendors, a beer garden, children's activities, cozy fire pits and a visit from Santa. More info.

SoHa Holiday Open House

Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SoHa Arts Building (1001 White Horse Pike)

Enjoy art, crafts, design and gourmet gifts at Haddon Township’s SoHa Arts Building. Explore SoHa's open resident studios and second-floor galleries while meeting local artists. More info.

Last Saturday Bash

Dec. 27, 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Haddon Square

A send-off with food and drink specials, cozy fire pits and live music. More info.
