Phillies' Bryce Harper Helps Teen With 'Promposal'
A high school senior knocked his 'promposal' out of the park, with help from Phillies slugger and Haddonfield resident Bryce Harper.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A Haddonfield teen knocked his "promposal" out of the park, with help from a Phillies slugger.
Jake Portella, a Haddonfield Memorial High School senior, recently knocked on classmate Giulia Leonetti's door. He was accompanied by Phillies star and Haddonfield resident Bryce Harper, who asked Giulia to prom on Portella's behalf.
She said yes, with the "promposal" bringing her to tears.

Portella lives in the same neighborhood as Harper. The senior walked to Harper's home and asked the seven-time All-Star for assistance in asking his classmate to prom, according to Yahoo Sports.
Harper originally wanted to plan it over email before shifting the gameplan to do it at that moment.

The "promposal" has since gone viral.

Harper bought his Haddonfield home in 2019 — the year he joined the Phillies — according to realtor.com. He lives in Henderson, Nevada, during the offseason, near his hometown of Las Vegas.
