Stolen Mower Sours Start-Of-Season Prep For Camden Co. Little League Club
A local Little League organization needs help getting ready for the season after a thief stole their riding lawnmower.
MAGNOLIA, NJ — A local Little League organization hopes the community can help them provide a place for youth to play baseball after someone stole their maintenance equipment last year.
Whoever it was took a riding tractor mower worth thousands of dollars, and the borough's insurance did not cover it, according to Magnolia Little League.
The robber broke into the storage shed in August 2022 and tried to break into the snack stand, the Little League organization in Magnolia said.

"We are now in a position where we cannot maintain our fields and have them ready for the 2023 season," President Gregg DiBartolomeo wrote in a GoFundMe that the club started last week.
Magnolia Little League is looking to raise $9,000 to replace the stolen mower, so they can get ready for the spring baseball season and continue keeping fields maintained for other activities.

The fields on Barrett Avenue are not only used for Little League practices and games, the ball club said. National Night Out and other community activities are held there, and other organizations around Magnolia use the fields, too.
Opening day for Magnolia Little League and Softball is April 22.
