Cops: Man Impersonated Juvenile Girl to Receive Pornographic Images on Social Media
Police say the man impersonated the juvenile "in order to solicit adult males for pornographic images and for sexual gratification."

A Bergen County man was arrested Thursday after police say he impersonated a juvenile female acquaintance on various social media sites in order to receive pornographic images from males.
Matthew Bolger III, 42, of Lodi, was arrested after an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and the Garfield Police Department discovered that over the last year, he allegedly ”created several social media accounts over the Internet in the name of a juvenile female with whom he was acquainted,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said. Bolger “would then impersonate the juvenile female over the accounts in order to solicit adult males for pornographic images and for sexual gratification.”
Bolger was arrested on Feb. 19 and was charged with one count each of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal impersonation for the account creations and for the solicitation of adult males over the Internet for sexual gratification and possession of a controlled dangerous substance for suspected narcotics, which was found during the execution of a court authorized search warrant at his residence, Molinelli said.
