The Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro is hosting a free educational series on pet health this Saturday, April 6. The free series "Get a Pet/Meet the Vet" begins with "The Basics: Kittens and Cats" from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. followed by "The Basics: Puppies and Dogs" from 3 to 4 p.m. Dr. Jessica Silver, shelter veterinarian, will be conducting both sessions. Individuals and families are welcome to visit the Shelter, see the pets available for adoption, meet the staff who care for them and attend the presentations that provide information on keeping your pets healthy.
