Hasbrouck Height Win Game Against New Milford Ends In Controversy

Controversial game ends in Hasbrouck Heights victory

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- The semi-finals of North Jersey Section 1, Group 1 playoffs end in controversy, but in Hasbrouck Heights favor. After blocking an attempted field goal by New Milford as the time expired, a player from Hasbrouck Heights, in celebration threw the ball in the air. The ball was caught by a New Milford player who ran to the end zone. The play was declared dead by the referees and with a score of 10-7 Hasbrouck Heights will move on to the finals.
