Heights Kicks Off Holiday Season and More This Week

Taking a look ahead at what's to come on Patch this week

Hasbrouck Heights will officially welcome in the holiday season this week with the annual holiday parade and tree lighting ceremony Friday evening.

The annual tradition is sure to once again bring the folks of Hasbrouck Heights to the Boulevard to watch the many organizations take part in the parade, see the high school marching band and of course see Santa on his sleigh as the Hasbrouck Heights Volunteer Fire Department is sure to escort him once again.

The borough's Chamber of Commerce sponsors the parade each year and the Mayor's Celebration Committee presents the tree lighting ceremony. The parade will head south on the Boulevard to the monument circle where the tree lighting will take place after some hoilday caroling. TD Bank wll once again offer refreshments and there will be more at the senior center afterwards where Santa will be on hand to pose for photos with children.
