On Adamo's behalf, Chief Michael Colaneri stated that the dedicated officer had moved his vacation week one week earlier in order to return in time to train the two new officers who graduate police academy this week.

These were the first promotions granted since 2004, said Mayor Rose Heck.

"I am very proud of the men that are receiving awards tonight and all the members of the department. They all do a fantastic job and I'm proud of each and every one of them.

Lt.
