Heights Teens Get Taste for Town Government
Annual Youth Week council meeting was Tuesday night.

There were some different faces behind the dais in the Hasbrouck Heights council chambers on Tuesday night as a team of high school students took their roles as Youth Week Council.
Each May a group of students from the high school take part in Youth Week serving as borough officials and department heads.
Hasbrouck Heights elected officials sat behind the junior version of themselves behind the dais as the students conducted their meeting which was led by Mayor Kevin O'Leary.

Joining O'Leary behind the dais was Andrew Kalmowitz, Julie Nass, Rachel Hanrahan, Emily Condal, David Sembrano and Sabrina Paz, all council members. Anthony Stefanelli, Yusra Ali and Maria Luque shared the role of Borough Clerk.
Tom Nicoletti served as CFO/Borough administrator; serving as Police Chief was Rich Neuman, Mark Hoffman and JT Rinke; Kelly Moran and Kayla Dickman served as fire chiefs; Osman Aksu as tax collector, Tom Hughes and Roland Gamez as Recreation Director; Julie Nass, Marian Habib and Jayen Patel as the Library heads. The role of DPW Superintendent was shared by Brittany Manzo, Bethany Manzo and Jon Diaz and Kevin Kaloshi and Chris Parodi served as Building Inspector.
