Hasbrouck Heights governing body will present a certificate of recognition to Michael Cutruzzula for reporting a fire that broke out at a neighbor's house earlier this month. Also on the agenda for Tuesday night is the public hearing on the 2013 proposed municipal budget. A 1 tax point increase, roughly $35 for a homeowner whose property is assessed at about $350,000, is proposed. Click here for a recap on the budget. Also council members are expected to present their monthly reports on their respective commissions, and Mayor Rose Heck will give her monthly report. The meeting begins at 8 p.m. at council chambers.
