Johnny Meatballs Food Stand Coming to Heights Swim Club
The local "meatball king" teams up with Frankie Antipasto.

Johnny Meatballs and Frankie Antipasto, locally known for their Italian food specialties at festivals like the Heights Street Fair, will open up a new food stand at the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club this weekend.
According to Johnny "Meatballs" DeCarlo the pair will serve up a variety of hot and cold items, mainly sticking to their specialities of gourmet meatballs and coldcut sandwiches. They will also serve up Sabrett hotdogs, salads, fruit cups and more according to EatItalian.com.
Their grand opening coincides with the swim club's full-time summer hours which begin this weekend. DeCarlo says they hope to make this a permanent daily spot.

Food court seating is open to members and guests of the swim club but DeCarlo says they plan to be able to accomodate the general public who can place orders at the walk-up gate. A car side service may also be planned, he says.
Some may be familiar with Johnny Meatballs on a Roll cart which has been at the street fair and the Heights Farmer's Market and other area festivals. He and Frankie Antipasto have also teamed up previously running a food truck.
