Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony Monday in Heights
Community is invited to join local veterans on Memorial Day

Local veterans invite the community to join in the borough's Memorial Day parade and celebration set for Monday, May 27.
The parade will begin about 10 a.m. with the procession beginning at Lawrence Avenue all the way up Terrace Avenue ending at Veterans Memorial Park at the intersection of Passaic Avenue where the ceremony will take place.
Parade once again features borough leaders, members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 4591 and the James B. Scarr Post 106 American Legion, the Hasbrouck Heights High School marching band, the New York Skyliners Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, and the John Dukes Marching Band.

Members of the Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus and Bible Baptist Church and local boys and girl scout groups will also march in the parade.
The ceremony will be led by Michael Vaughn, commander of the VFW post. Rev. Edward Glasser of the Community United Church of Christ will given the invocation and Mayor Rose Heck will be the guest speaker.

The ceremony will continue at 11 a.m. at the Firemen's and 9-11 Memorial Park on Passaic Avenue and the Boulevard traffic circle.
