NJASK Scores Show Mixed Improvements at Elementary Grade Levels

NJASK tests students grades 3, 4 and 5 in language arts and math. In language arts, the percentage of students considered proficient increased at grade levels 3 and 5 however both schools experienced a decline at the grade 4 level in the percentage of students deemed proficient.

At Euclid School the percentage dropped from 84 down to 48 and at Lincoln from 63 to 45 percent from school year 2010-2011 to 2011-2012. This could be attributed to changes in the test from one year to the next.

Although there are some similarities between the two schools there are differences such as with math - Euclid grade 5 had a big jump in the percentage of students considered proficient while Lincoln grade 5 had no change from one year to the next.
