A busy week is ahead for the Hasbrouck Heights School district.
This Thursday night the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education will convene for its regular monthly meeting.

An update regarding the school security assessment could be expected this week. Officials hired an outside consultant to review the school's current security plans and the board is expected to receive a full report sometime this month.
School leaders said they would await input from the study before deciding how to move ahead with any security improvements.

Last month elementary students took part in the empowering "Include Me" program designed to inspire youngsters to make a difference and realize that no one is different because of a disability. This week Peer Training will begin for those who have decided to become peer mentors working with the Pathways for Exceptional Children program.
Also this week
Lincoln and Euclid elementary school PTAs have teamed up for the annual Blue Jeans Ball fundraiser set for Friday night at the Holiday Inn in Hasbrouck Heights.
