Six Vie for 3 Seats on Heights Board of Education

School board election candidates filed petitions to run in the November election.

Six candidates have filed petition to run for the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education in the November election.

Candidates had until Tuesday to file petition to run for the three seats available on the Board this year.

Board President Joseph Rinke, a Hasbrouck Heights Police sergeant, will seek re-election and Lillian Romano, an educator in Leonia who is currently the Board's vice president, will also run again for another term.

Others who filed petition to run are Gina Hofmann, Patricia Caruso, Janet Lorhmann and Michael Bugge.

Board trustee Mark Nazarro, whose seat is up this November, did not file petition to run.
