Third Annual Hasbrouck Heights Relay for Life This Week

Mayor and council meet Tuesday, fundraiser for girl in need of seizure response dog set for Sunday.

The Hasbrouck Heights community will come together this weekend united in the fight against cancer during the third annual Relay for Life.

The overnight event will begin Saturday, June 1 with opening ceremonies starting at 7 p.m. concluding at 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 2. This signature event of the American Cancer Society is held overnight to show that cancer never sleeps.

Over the past two years the Heights Relay has raised more than $100,000. This year 29 teams are signed up so far to take part, according to Amanda Kistner, chairperson.
