Thousands Expected at Annual Heights Street Fair

Soulfinger Live headlines the main stage at this annual street fair event featuring food, rides and more.

Sunday brings the fifth annual Hasbrouck Heights street fair to the Boulevard, an event that continues to attract tens of thousands of local folks who come each year to take part in the festivities of this annual event.

Once again the event features live music with the Soulfinger Live headlining on the main stage. Also performing will be special guest Ashley Hollister in Mona Lisa Vito, Rose Colored Glasses and more.

The event this year will be held from the Boulevard circle down to Kipp Avenue. More than 150 vendors will be on hand with arts, crafts and specialty vendors in addition to the various Hasbrouck Heights businesses and local clubs and organizations.

Johnny Meatballs returns to the street fair this year with Frankie Antipasto who will be serving up their Italian specialties. Many organizations will be on hand including Mickey's Kids which works to support Canine Assistants raising funds to sponsor a service dog for children in need. Star Dog Enterprises, which works to help kids in need, will sell T-shirts of which for one sold one will be donated to a child in need at Father English Center in Paterson.

For the children the 24-foot hydraulic climbing wall is back one again as one of the many main features for the children as well as trackless racing cars and inflatable obstacle courses.

Once again the dunk tank returns where one can take turns dunking volunteers. Donations will benefit the Special Olympics. Expected in the tank once again are Councilman David Gonzalez, Mike Kronyak the borough administrator and members of the Police Department.

The street fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Boulevard will be shut down from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as per the police department.

The event will be held rain or shine.
