$5.9 Million Townhome Sale Almost Breaks Hoboken Record

A recent closing at 614 Hudson Street was Hoboken's second-largest townhouse sale for a two-family home.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A recently-sold brick townhome in Hoboken is one of the most expensive two-family properties ever sold in the city.

The six-bed, seven-bath town home at 614 Hudson Street sold on September 9 for $5.9 million. Brown Harris Stevens (BHS) announced the near record-breaking sale in September.

This sale is second only to a similar property at 514 Hudson Street, which sold for a record $6.5 million in 2016.

Peter Cossio and the Hudson Realty Group at Brown Harris Stevens represented the seller, and BHS also represented the buyer, a news release said. Cossio and his partner at the time also secured the record deal in 2016, BHS said.

BHS also has a record $4.95 million listing on the market right now for a duplex with Manhattan views at 1500 Garden Street, Apartment 10L.

The home at 614 Hudson Street was gutted in 2017 for a renovation, and features the original red brick and brownstone facade.
