The city said Thursday that emergency repairs to a leaking water main uptown will close a street starting at 10 p.m. Thursday.

A block of 11th Street will close from Monroe and Madison streets, the city said.

The city expects repairs to finish, and the road to reopen, by 6 a.m. Friday, the city said.

Water customers who may be impacted will be contacted by Veolia water before any shutdown, the city said.

Hoboken police will be on site during the work and road closure, the city said.
