5 New Restaurants To Try That Opened In North Jersey In April 2023

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — Does warm weather make you want to sit outside and munch, or perhaps stop for a bite after exploring a new town in North Jersey? Here are five restaurants that either opened or announced their impending openings in the past six weeks:

Sangeetha Veg in Morris Plains

Since opening in Chennai, India 35 years ago, Sangeetha Veg has brought traditional Indian food to nearly 50 locations around the globe. "Our cuisines are derived from the traditional Udupi & Chettinad style of cooking. All our recipes are authentic Indian recipes and not any less important, is the influence of the Mughal / Chinese cuisine," restaurant officials said. Sparo's in Ramsey

Sparo's Deli & Catering is opening its second location in the heart of downtown Ramsey, and will offer up its signature sandwiches, salads, soups, and sides, including chicken and eggplant cutlets and broccoli rabe. First established in 2019 in Montclair, the fast-casual eatery is cutting the ribbon at its new location on 94 East Main St.on May 13. Find out more here.

Alfalfa in Jersey City

Four high school friends from Hudson County celebrated the third location of Alfalfa restaurant in Jersey City recently (the others are in Hoboken and Carlifornia). The eatery specializes in salads, wraps, and special donuts. Find out more here.

Lo Sfizio Italian Street Food in Parsippany

A new family-run Italian restaurant has opened up in Parsippany-Troy Hills. Lo Sfizio Italian Street Food — managed by Josephina and Sergio Spinosa, along with their son Leo — will offer an authentic and comforting approach to Italian food. Josephina's family immigrated to Pennsylvania years ago and opened pizzerias and restaurants outside of Philly. Visit the new venture, which opened April 12, at 77 New Road in Parsippany. Company Kafe And 3 Other New Coffee Shops, Hoboken And Jersey City
