Ambulance Corps Receives More Than 70 Requests For Service; Street Fights Occur As Night Progresses

A little before 9 p.m. on Saturday, the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps had received 71 calls for service.

Although the amount of arrests and summonses issued was still unclear, Hoboken saw more street fights than during last year's parade, according to authorities and messages from the police scanner.

Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps received 71 calls for service. Most calls were minor, although there were some traumas.

One incident, one HVAC volunteer said, included a young woman who passed out in a port-a-potty downtown. It was unclear how long the woman was inside until she was found.
