Park Avenue Bridge To Close
Please be advised, Hudson County will close the Park Avenue Bridge for their ongoing Paving Project tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 2, from approximately 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday, Aug. 5, from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Park Avenue Bridge spans over Harbor Boulevard from 16th Street to 19th Street to connect Park Avenue in Hoboken to John F. Kennedy Boulevard East in Weehawken.
The closure of the bridge, and other sections of Park Avenue in the area, will likely cause congestion coming into and out of Hoboken on the northern end of the City. Detours will be in place and Willow Avenue will be open in both directions as an alternate route.
The North Hudson Sewer Authority test pitting also continues on Friday, Aug. 2, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Observer Highway will be closed at Henderson Street during working hours.
Hoboken Police will be at both sites to assist with detours, traffic control, and pedestrian safety. Drivers should leave extra travel time and consider alternate routes to and from Hoboken on Friday and Monday.
