Brooklyn Man Charged With Arson, Burglary at Hoboken Terminal

A Brooklyn man is facing arson and burglary charges after allegedly breaking into a ticket trailer at Hoboken Terminal and stealing more than $30,000 worth of tickets, the Jersey Journal reported.

Michael Pagan, of Brookyln, allegedly broke the window of a temporary New York Waterway ticket trailer around 4 a.m. Tuesday and tried to steal more than $34,000 worth of tickets, New Jersey Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder told the paper.

Pagan also allegedly broke into a custodial cabinet and set rolls of toilet paper and paper towels on fire, according to police reports.

Snyder said Pagan was arrested immediately and that the tickets were recovered and the fire was extinguished quickly.

He faces charges of arson, burglary, theft, criminal mischief, hindering apprehension and resisting arrest.
