Date Set For Hoboken's St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Hoboken Police Department decided to implement a zero tolerance policy during the event on March 6.
Hoboken is known for its celebrations of St. Patty's Day when hordes of people will come to the city from other parts of the state and from New York.
The city council, together with the police department, decided that the annual parade will take place on Saturday, March 6.
The police are instituting a zero tolerance policy, said Sixth Ward Councilman Nino Giachhi during the first council meeting of the year.

The city also wants to figure out how to deal with parties at local houses that get out of control. Giacchi said the city will form a subcommittee to talk about how to handle the problem.
"The disorderly house is probably more disruptive than your bar scene," Giachhi said.
