Free Comic Book Day: See Who's Participating In Hudson County
Comics are a conduit to reading. See who's participating in free comic book day in North Jersey.
NORTH JERSEY — Alex De Marco, the manager of A&S Comics Two in Teaneck, is looking forward to the annual Free Comic Book Day on Saturday.
"It should be a good day," the said. "It gets people into the store, gets new people into comics that maybe weren't into them before, and gets people into reading — younger readers, older readers."
On the first Saturday in May each year, local comic book shops participate in the national promotion called "Free Comic Book Day."

"Founded on the belief that for every person out there, there’s a comic book they’ll love," say organizers, "the annual event offers a huge selection of free titles designed to appeal to a broad range of age levels and their tastes...the industry comes together to give away free comics and encourage both curious, first-time comic book readers and seasoned comic book fans to flock to the best place in the comic book community: local comic shops."
Among the shops participating, several are listed in Bergen County. Call ahead to see if they still have supplies, before heading over.
