Civil Service Commission judge changed Adriani's termination to a 90-day suspension.

Although was suspended without pay in Febraury 2010, the Administrative Law Judge of the Civil Service Commission recently decided that his termination should be modified to a 90-day suspension after Andriani appealed his case, according to a communcation from Mayor Dawn Zimmer to the City council. (The mayor's letter is attached to this article.)

the Civil Service Commission decided that Andriani had acted "unbecoming of a police officer." Andriani was arrested a little more than a year ago, when he lost his temper in a Tampa airport and showed his expired police badge.

The city is currently appealing the decision by the Civil Service Commission and is "seeking to have (Andriani's) termination and offense affirmed."

Another reason why Andriani was terminated, was because he was involved with the 2007 SWAT scandal, when the team traveled down to Alabama and Louisiana.

The matter was referred to the Office of Administrative Law, according to the mayor's communication. Two hearings are scheduled; one for May 6 and one for May 20.
