Dear Hobokenites, 

Welcome to Hoboken Patch. You have arrived on a news site that covers government, sports, education, entertainment and much more. Patch is like your local newspaper, minus the paper. 

My name is Claire Moses and I am the editor of the site. I always want to stay in touch with the community and be fair and accurate in my reporting. I am always open for story ideas, tips and concerns from the people of Hoboken, so please never hesitate to contact me at clairem@patch.com. 

I plan on covering everything about Hoboken, from fun activities to serious political issues. Hoboken Patch should be your go-to guide for anything Hoboken, from bars to news to announcements. Besides news articles, the site provides you with a directory of businesses and a calendar of events.

Besides breaking news we will also have restaurant reviews, concert reviews and interviews with important people in Hoboken. But, if you're wondering what bar to watch your favorite sports team is, you can also count on Patch to let you know where you can go. 

Hoboken is the first town in Hudson County Patch is covering, but Patch already has 15 sites in other towns in New Jersey. 

Although I hope this site will be your go-to site for information about Hoboken, I also need you. I hope this to be a like a two-way street.  Are you getting married? We'll announce it. Throwing a party? We'll attend. Organizing a charity event? We'll help you promote it. 

You will likely see me around town, at council meetings, at high school sports games or in one of Hoboken's many coffee shops or bars. Please feel free to say hi and tell me what you think of the site. 

Hoboken is made up of many different people. From commuters into the city, to lifelong residents to young parents who just moved here. No matter how different these groups may be, they all care about Hoboken. And as the editor of the site, I am excited to become part of that community.
