Hoboken City Council To Hold Two Budget Hearings

The Mayor and the Business Administrator have been working on the 2011 budget, which will be introduced during the next council meeting.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer will introduce the budget for the 2011 fiscal year during the next Council meeting, on March 2. 

The City Council will be holding two public meetings to discuss the budget, according to a press release sent out by Third Ward Councilman Michael Russo. The workshops will take place on Wednesday March 9 and March 23, both at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall. 

The public will be able to speak at these meetings.

"The budget is the most telling document from the administration," Russo said in the release. "It tells us where the mayor’s priorities are, and it’s our job as council members and asme mbers of the public to make sure that we are heard. I urge all residents to cometo the meetings or to tune them in.”
