Hoboken High School Gets Interim Principal

Will be paid $560 per school day worked

The Board of Education approved the hiring of an interim principal for Hoboken High School, for the period between Feb. 10 and June 30, at a rate of $560 per school day worked.

The Board picked Albert Joy, a retired secondary school building administrator who is being brought in from the outside. The current principal of Hoboken High, Lorraine Cella, announced her resignation at the Jan. 19 School Board meeting.

"I don't think we can leave that building without an experienced principal," said Board member Maureen Sullivan.
