U.S. Senators Menendez and Lautenberg announced on Wednesday afternoon.

U.S. Senators Robert Menendez and Frank Lautenberg announced on Wednesday afternoon that Hoboken's Fire Department will receive $427,962 to purchase a new pumper fire truck.
In total, the senators are distributing roughly $1,5 million among nine municipalities in the state. The federal money that will be going to Hoboken's fire department, is coming from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant.
Lautenberg said through a press release on Wednesday that he is working to "ensure that federal funding for public safety in New Jersey communities remains a priority.”
