Hoboken To Receive Nearly $6M from FEMA

The City of Hoboken will receive $5.9 million —$5,942,639.91 to be exact — from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, according to an announcement on Tuesday.

In total, $379.9 million in FEMA grants has been approved for individuals and households. According to Tuesday's announcement, $241.5 million has been approved in FEMA Public Assistance grants to communities and some nonprofit organizations.

The money will be divided over five projects in town, to pay for post-Sandy recovery. 

Here is the allocation of the money, according to FEMA:

$1,192,243 ($894,182 federal share) for debris removal.

$374,922 (281,191 federal share) for the Hoboken Board of Education emergency response.

$8,310 (6,233 federal share) for garage panels.

$1,550 ($1,163 federal share) for records stabilization.

$1,084 ($814 federal share) for the Hoboken Board of Education school bus.
