Hudson County Announces Free Summer Sports Camps For Hoboken, Jersey City Kids

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Do you have a sporty kid looking for something to do this summer? The county of Hudson runs several half-day programs for sports in the various county parks.

Each summer, the county runs a soccer program that's only in Jersey City. They also run a six-week program for tennis in several towns, including in Hoboken.

See below for the list of programs, locations, and a link to sign up that started on May 1.

2024 Hudson County Soccer Summer Camp

Location: Lincoln Park Main Turf Complex, Jersey City.

Dates/Times: Five weeks, July 1 through Aug. 1, 8 a.m.-11 a.m., 4 days a week most weeks (see link below for more specifics.)

Ages: 6 to 14 years of age

Projected number of Participants: 140-160

Cost: Provided by The County Of Hudson. Free to all Hudson County kids, with free barbecue on last day of camp.

2024 Hudson County Summer Tennis Camp

Locations: Lincoln Park in Jersey City, Columbus Park in Hoboken, Washington Park in Jersey City Heights, James Braddock Park in North Bergen, Stephen S. Gregg Park in Bayonne, West Hudson Park in Kearny.

Days/Times: July 1-Aug. 16. Most parks 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday through Friday, except Columbus Park in Hob0ken also has a 12-3 session.

Ages: 6 to 15.

Projected number of Participants: 600-650

Cost: Free to all Hudson County kids, barbecue on last day (last year it was in Lincoln Park).
