Disaster Relief Group Offers Aid to Residents Still Struggling with Sandy Recovery
The newly-formed Hudson County Long Term Recovery Committee has partnered with World Renew, an international recovery group, to open walk-in centers and conduct home visits of Hudson County residents affected by Superstorm Sandy.

A team of disaster recovery-trained volunteers from across the country will be in Hoboken this week surveying the needs of residents still struggling with the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
Through a coordinated effort of the Hudson County Long Term Recovery Committee, international recovery group World Renew and local government and community agencies, residents affected by Sandy can receive assistance at town walk-in centers or by requesting home visits from June 10 to June 13.
"The survey is an important step in finding families who need help and making sure that their recovery needs are met," HCLTRC chairman Greg Strid said in a statement. "The World Renew volunteers...are specially trained to assess damage, assist with federal relief forms and deal with psychological aftereffects from loss."
