Meet Zak Koeske, New Editor Of Hoboken Patch
Zak has been with Patch since August 2011, and previously ran sites in Fair Lawn-Saddle Brook and Englewood-Englewood Cliffs.

Good people of Hoboken, please allow me to introduce myself: I'm Zak Koeske (a.k.a The New Claire), a Pittsburgh transplant who has spent the better part of two years running Patch sites in Bergen County and will be heading Hoboken Patch from here on out.
Before making the jump to Hoboken, I covered the communities of Fair Lawn, Saddle Brook and Englewood, and am overjoyed to once again be able to focus my energies on only one city.
I'm currently living in Fair Lawn but will be moving to the Hoboken area within the next couple months. While I've spent some time in Hoboken and have friends that live here, I have much to learn about the Mile Square City and would appreciate any reader suggestions on areas of coverage you think the site could improve upon, pressing issues you want to read about, etc.

Prior to coming to Patch, I wrote for the Post-Gazette in Pittsburgh, covering borough government, education and the occasional community feature.
I graduated with a Master's of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in December 2010, and have degrees in political science, biology and psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.

At Medill, I covered education and diversity in the Chicago area, and later health, science and technology out of the school’s Washington bureau.
Between Chicago and Washington, I produced a collection of print, audio and video stories for clients that included The Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch, the McClatchy Newspaper chain, the now extinct AOL Politics Daily and NPR’s WAMU radio.
