New Business Coming To Eye Doctor's Office In Hoboken

HOBOKEN, NJ — Feast your eyes on this. A longtime eye doctor's office on upper Washington Street is about to be replaced by...an eye care office.

Family Eye Care of Hoboken placed new signs in the windows of 1126 Washington St. last week.

Dr. Claudio D'Alberti had his practice there until he retired over a year ago.

Associated Eye Physicians & Surgeons took over Dr. D'Alberti's old "20/20" phone number — (201) 659-2020, get it? — but they have moved to Jersey Avenue in Jersey City, near Hamilton Park.

Last year, a practice at the other end of town, on Newark Street, also closed when the married eye doctors retired, and also has been replaced by a new eye care office. And their number, just so you're not confused, is 201-653-2020.

No word yet on when the new Family Eye Care will open.
