Opening Day! Hoboken Little League To Hold Parade Saturday
Residents are invited to the Opening Day Parade for Hoboken Little League and RBI softball on Saturday morning.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Batter up! It's Hoboken Little League opening day this Saturday, April 22. Residents are invited to join the city of Hoboken's baseball and softball Opening Day Parade.
The parade will start at the Hoboken Elks Club at 10th and Washington streets at 10 a.m.
Little League baseball and RBI softball players will march down Washington Street, turning left on Fifth Street and ending at Sergeant William Fesken Memorial Field at Stevens Park.

Players can line up between 10th Street and 11th Street on Washington Street starting at
9:30 a.m.
While rain is expected Saturday, it's not expected until after 8 p.m. Saturday night (get the Hoboken forecast here.)

Celebrating Coach Diddle
In other news, sports fans, the Hoboken community is invited to a dedication ceremony on Saturday, May 6, at the Hoboken Hockey Rink at Second and Adams streets. It will be renamed inhonor of former athletics coach and local dad Johnny Ray “Diddle” McDonald Jr., who passed away in 2021 at the age of 58.
Diddle worked for the City of Hoboken’s Recreation Division for nearly 20 years and founded the city’s first children’s instructional hockey program.
The day of remembrance will include free youth skate at 11 a.m., free adult skate at 12 p.m., a brief dedication ceremony at 1 p.m., and a friendly adult pick-up game at 2 p.m.
