
Hoboken Police Officer threatened
On Sunday, Jan. 10, a Hoboken police officer was threatened outside of Trinity Bar & Restaurant on 300 Sinatra Drive, according to police reports.
Police were dispatched to the bar at 5 p.m. after a bartender reported that a man from Springfield said he had a gun, and was going to shoot people at the bar, according to police reports. Police checked the man for weapons, but couldn't find any. Police also investigated the bathrooms in the bar, but didn't find any guns there either.

The 30-year-old Springfield man smelled like alcohol and officers wanted to transport him to the hospital, police said. The man protested and threatened the officer.
"I ain't going to the hospital," he yelled. "If I go to the hospital there is going to be a problem, I don't care if you're a cop I'll [expletive] kill you," according to police reports.

The man was placed under arrest and charged with terroristic threats, police said.
A taxi dispute
On Jan. 10, a cab driver picked up a customer on 50th Street and 5th Avenue on Manhattan, who wanted to go to New Jersey, according to police reports. The cab driver told him he would go as far as Hoboken, because he didn't know the rest of the way.
When the cabbie charged his customer $70 for the fare, tolls and tips, the customer refused to pay, according to police reports.
The customer, a 29-year-old Latham resident, became angry and started to close his hands into a fist, according to police reports.
Police came and charged the man with disorderly conduct, terroristic threats and resisting arrest, according to police reports.
Heroin drug bust
A 35-year-old Hoboken resident was arrested in front of a Hoboken Housing Authority housing project on 655 Sixth St. on Monday, Jan. 11, around 11:50 a.m., according to police. Upon further examination, police found five bags of suspected CDS heroin in the man's right hand black glove, according to police reports.
Verbal Argument Turns Physical
A 32-year-old resident of Jefferson Street got into a fight with a North Bergen man at First and Bloomfield Streets around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, according to police reports.
The verbal argument had turned physical outside Buskers Bar and Grill, when the Hoboken resident was not permitted to re-enter the bar, according to police. No arrests were made.
