Police Blotter: Woman Assaulted At Hoboken Club

A 26-year-old woman from West Caldwell was assaulted on Saturday, Jan. 30, around 2:30 a.m., according to police reports. 

According to reports, the woman called the police after 25-year-old Michael Rodriguez from Boonton, N.J., grabbed the back of her head and slammed it into the wall on her way out of Room 84, a club on Washington Street. 

The victim said Rodriguez was with a girl, an ex-girlfriend of the victim's boyfriend, according to police reports. 

Rodriguez was placed under arrest and charged with simple assault according to police reports. The victim was taken to the hospital and had a bruise where her head hit the wall, according to police reports.
