Some Hoboken Residents Want Dog Runs Open 24 Hours, Survey Says
The city took a poll after getting complaints about issues surrounding its dog runs.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Dogs don't make the rules, but they do make other things. That's why they often have to head outside at inconvenient hours for their owners. Many residents want the dog runs to stay open for 24 hours even if parks do not, the city said Friday, releasing survey results.
The survey showed that 52 percent of those who answered would prefer the runs to be open 24 hours, while about 40 percent supported extended hours until 10 p.m.
The results are in! According to our survey, residents use dog runs primarily before and after normal business hours and most survey respondents believe dog runs should be open 24 hours a day. Results also indicate that Church Square Park's dog run is the most heavily used. pic.twitter.com/IQ8GEXLV0M

If any resident around Church Sq. Park thinks the dog run should be moved out of it, contact me so we can present a petition to the city to move it to another location. It does not belong here and ruins quality of life.

They need to move it because the sick people in the hospital and emergency room that’s directly across the street is also impacted by this crazy dogs barking.

City spokesman Vijay Chaudhuri said, "Based on the results, we don't anticipate any changes regarding rules and regulations in city dog parks."
