Theater Director Rescinds Resignation; Large Turnout Expected at School Board Meeting
Paula Ohaus said on Tuesday afternoon that she decided to rescind her resignation.

Hoboken Public School Theatre Director Paula Ohaus,, has decided to stay on as theatre director after all, she said on Tuesday afternoon.
Ohaus didn't elaborate much further, but said she'd attend Tuesday night's monthly Board of Education meeting. She also mentioned that the support from the students had a lot to do with her decision to stay.
According to one parent as well as School Board member Carmelo Garcia, Ohaus informed the cast of Hairspray on Tuesday afternoon that she would stay after all.

Garcia, who was vocal about Ohaus' resignation last week, said he was happy to hear Ohaus would still be around.
"(Superintendent Mark) Toback understood students were going to come and rally at board meeting," Garcia said. This time around, he added, "(Ohaus) got the proper respect she deserved."

Toback, in an email to the members of the Board of Education, announced Ohaus' rescindment.
A facebook event created, called "Bring Back Ms. Paula Ohaus," had 86 people attending Tuesday night's meeting.
One of the comments on the event's Facebook wall read described Ohaus as "one (of) the coolest & funniest teachers in hob high."
