Train Delays For Amtrak, NJ Transit Leave Commuters Fuming Friday (Again)

NEW YORK CITY — NJ Transit train service was suspended in and out of Penn Station in New York City for the second day in a row due to Amtrak overhead wire issues, and commuters were furious again, begging legislators and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy for help.

By 10 a.m., the trains were moving again, but they were still behind schedule.

Initially, passengers were diverted to Hoboken station, directed to use buses or PATH trains. Tickets were cross-honored.
