HOBOKEN, NJ — "Sporadic power outages" have been affecting various parts of Hoboken due to a tree fire that damaged power lines, the city said around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

PSEG is working to restore power as soon as possible, the city said.

Optimum cable also briefly reported a service interruption on Wednesday.

The city of Hoboken has set up cooling centers at the following locations, they said:

  • Hoboken High School Cafeteria, 800 Clinton St.
  • ResilienCity Park Community Room, 1201 Madison St.

PSEG's outage map was showing only a few homes with no power, near Church Square Park at Fifth Street and Park Avenue.
