Warming Centers Open in Hoboken, More Hudson County Cities

As temperatures continue to plummet, warming centers are being set up at community organizations in Hoboken and surrounding towns.

As freezing temperatures blow into town, Hudson County is prepared to help all residents in need stay safe and warm.

Freezing temperatures continue to plague residents in the Mile Square, with a high of only about 33 degrees, and and chills that drop the temperature to closer to 17 degrees.

The National Weather Service has also issued a hazardous weather outlook for New Jersey, saying an inch or two of snow will make for a slippery afternoon commute.

The Hudson County Winter Emergency Protocol System, currently on standby until March 15 has been enacted. The protocol goes into affect anytime the temperature drops below 32 degrees, NJ 211 noted.

A network of warming stations at community organizations around the Hudson County. In Hoboken, warming stations can be found at Wallace School and the Hoboken Shelter on Bloomfield Ave.
